Journal of All India Association for Educational Research strives to disseminate information on educational issues with focus on educational research. The Journal of All India Association for Educational Research (JAIAER) started in 1989 as the mouthpiece of the All India Association for Educational Research and has been spearheading various issues related to education in India and abroad. The journal accepts the broader meaning of education and accepts research-based manuscripts from various disciplines of education. However, as the majority of the members of the Association belong to Education subject, the editorial board is restricted to Education subject. The journal has maintained its own style of referencing and in-text citations. The journal mostly gets papers from its members and, therefore, has been focusing on school education, teacher education, higher education, and related policy issues. The journal started as a quarterly journal and is now available as a half-yearly journal published in June and December every year. All issues of the journal are available to readers free of charge.

The manuscript should be in MS-Word Times New Roman Font 11 point and double spaced. Graphs and tables are to be submitted as separate files with indications in the main body for their insertion. In addition, to facilitate copy editing, there has to be another file incorporating tables graphs etc. at appropriate places that the author (s) like to have in print version. Each manuscript to have an abstract of not more than 250 words indicating objectives, method, findings, and conclusion. A separate file has to be attached containing title of the manuscript, names and addresses of the authors indicating contact person with his / her e-mail ID. The manuscript mail should also attach an undertaking signed by all authors mentioning that (a) it has not been submitted for consideration for publication elsewhere, (b) authors are responsible for copy right violations and plagiarism.

There may be editorial changes to improve the readability of the paper. Inclusion of a paper is based on quality of the manuscript and availability of space in an issue of the journal. The publication of the manuscript shall be intimated to the corresponding author by e-mail.

The journal invites short research notes not exceeding 500 words. It may be written without mentioning any subheading and having paragraphs for each section and avoiding quotations. The topics may cover alternative strategies, innovations, research issues.

The journal invites reviews of policy documents, reports, documents, professional books, related to education in general and research in education in particular. The review should mention at the beginning, Title, Number of pages, Year of publication, ISBN, Author(s), Publisher, City, and Country of Publication.

This journal is published two times a year in June and December.

Since 2009, the journal has become peer reviewed. A manuscript submitted to JAIAER is initially subjected to scrutiny with respect to reference and in-text citation styles and concerned author(s) is/are advised to correct and resubmit, if necessary. The papers written as per JAIAER style are double-blind peer reviewed. Generally, the reviewers are the members of the AIAER, and the peer review process takes one to two months, and when there is no response from a reviewer, it is sent to another. The list of reviewers is generally printed in the last issue of a year.

JAIAER maintains the highest ethics in scholarly publishing and follows practices that guarantee transparency in the peer feedback, editorial decisions, and in the publishing process. The journal expects that before submission, the papers have been subjected by the authors to plagiarism checks and also have gone a process of ethical review with respect to carrying out of research in honest and ethical ways.

All issues of the Journal of All India Association for Educational Research are available for all free of charge as open access to make researchers throughout the world access these issues to enable growth in exchange of ideas at international level.
